To start, give at least one room a foundation of neutral colors. As you might guess, bright colors make for a more active, vibrant space. So clear the clutter. Use baskets, decorative boxes, or soft space cubes as storage for things like paperwork. Pare down your décor to only the items you really love—a busy room can lead to anxiety and stress.
