How to Earn Federal Tax Credit
Windows are one of the biggest sources of energy loss in many homes because, especially in homes with older windows, they frequently let outside air in and inside air out, causing heating and colling systems to work harder. So the federal government is helping homeowners insulate their windows by offering tax credits on the purchase of certain energy-efficient window treatments. If you’re interested in earning these incentives, you have until December 31, 2023, to make a qualifying purchase that could earn you up to 30% return on the purchase price (the cost of the product itself, including sales tax, but not the cost of installation) in the form of federal tax credits (up to a max of $1,200). Be sure to bring your sales receipt and the Hunter Douglas purchase certification to your tax advisor when you complete your returns next spring.

Select Hunter Douglas Duette® Honeycomb Shades (including Architella® and Applause®) in select sizes can earn tax credits.
